All of that is true, but look how miserable he is as a person. 10 minutes after a win that scowl is back on his face. There's more to life than football for anyone. At the end of his days I can guarantee that he'll wish he had spent more time enjoying his family.....or life itself.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

No other coach has any success unless they do it like Saban.

OK but I don't give a shite. He is not our fricking coach and is not going to be our coach. So go post on Bama board bc I don't give a ff@#$ and an sick of LSU fans obsession with the man.

I have no obsession with the man. I'm not a Bama band wagoner.
I was not saying no other coach can win. I was merely conmenting that I agree with the mindset of not being ok with mediocrity and not letting players take plays off and mentally check out just because your up big on an opponent.

I'm all for O and our team.
Doesn't make it to the contrary because I respect some facets of another programs operation.

He said that Saban is allergic to Mediocrity.
Saban is the exact opposite of the LSU Athletic Department, Internet Message Board Pumpers and the majority of Louisiana Residents.

Mediocrity is welcomed and reveled in here. That's why things are the way they are at LSU and across the State.

Too many people don't give a damn about anything. You know, that whole "High Standard of Excellence" thing that is severely lacking here. Bon Temps Rouler.

I think it's funny that for one you are curious about it.
And for two that because Im not so butt hurt about Bama therefore I can be rational and notice something positive about Saban that it offends you so much.

Shows how caught up in Bama most tiger fans are.

Say what you want about Saban, but I believe the times that Saban lays into guys including Kiffin for mistakes even when they are up by 50 points is why they are #1 and we are #20. Working with Saban may have been hard for Kiffin, but those butt chewing will be the reason he becomes a HC again....if he listens. If he should come to LSU, and Coach O doesn't keep him accountable like Saban does. It will not end pretty for us or him.

its only room for one saban. coach o has to do it coach o's way not saban way not meyer way not dabo way but his way and if lane wants to coach again then he will take the Houston job if not then that means he is not ready to be a leader of a full team and I think he will mature from the bama situation just like most men do, men don't act the same at 45 as they did at 25 so lane will be fine either way but coach o chewing people out on the sidelines may not come off the same way as it does with saban. that's probably what got him at ole miss. players know what type of coach you are and if u tryna do it another man's way then they lose respect for u and it goes from one ear to out of the other. geaux coach o. I get your point but what saban does is irrelevant to the coach o regime

The truth is Satan is so great because everyone bought into a great coach being God. Therefor a great coach gets better talent and becomes almost unstoppable.

Lots of coaches could win multiple national titles with the number one recruiting class every year.

Couldn't agree more.

I'm not campaigning for O to do things like Saban, O is not Saban, and I don't want him to be.
But I would like it if even if we are up by 50 points in a game to not allow the defense to start playing sloppy, which we saw a few times this year at the end of games.

Yes, Saban is a great coach, but you don't have to be a complete a-hole douchebag to get points across like Saban does. His temper and blowups are not the reason he or his teams have success.

You can chew someone's arse out from time to time within reason, but Saban is an excessive a-hole with it.

I'm getting off subject but it grinds my gears when people act like coaches need to mimic all of Saban's characteristics to be good coaches. Being an a-hole is not a prerequisite to coaching success. Saban just happens to be a great coach who is also a supreme a-hole.

that's some really flawed logic right there.

Do you think these elite recruits just magically fell into Saban's lap?
