Our biggest OL recruit reaffirmed his commit. That is a big start.

Right after Orgeron was announced. I talked to him at the Florida game and he said then he wanted Orgeron for his head Coach.

Here he is responding to Netherly.

Same here bro LINK

Appreciate it family. I'm ready to get this thang rolling ?? LINK

One of my only complaints with Frank. Too many WR's and not enough OL/DL.

I think O will put premium on the trenches.

IMO...there should never be less than 4 true OL ever year. Some years LSU would have an entire class with 2 OL.

Gotta get better in trenches and at QB.

I have LOTS of complaints with Grimes on the field and his technical coaching, but he has recruited pretty well here. He came in to a pretty bare cupboard (depth-wise) thanks to Studs, and has at least gotten us stocked with SEC-level guys.

The issue is that he hasn't gotten enough tackles and that has thrown the unit out of balance. And he insists on playing guys out of their natural positions (Pocic, anyone). But I don't think the struggles are all about talent level.

Yep. Must get better. I think Pocic at center was Miles doing. Grimes even tried to experiment with kicking him out to tackle after Miles was canned and injuries mounted.

Miles held coaches and players back.

Glad he's gone.

Move Clapp to center next year

Malone and Weathsby at OT with Chidi as the main backup

Teauhema and Campbell or Brumfeld at guard

That has the makings of a very good OL. Pocic is a very good player, but with his height he had major issues against big nose tackles. Clapp is better suited for center

Allen,, Dodd, and the other young guys provide depth as they get bigger and stronger

Grimes has done a nice job recruiting. It will be nice to see him with guys who are in their third and fourth year dominating the two deep rather than playing first and second year guys

Building an OL isn't a 1-2 year process. Stud and Miles let things fall apart

Three years ago we only signed Clapp and Brunfeld. It has taken the next two classes to add any depth

I hear that Deculus reaffirmed his commitment. He very well may be our most important recruit.

Well Moffitt needs to get them in better shape. Need them versatile to be road graters and agile for pass blocking

Agree 100%. If our oline meets an equal or superior d line they really struggle. Bama getting pressure rushing 4 & we are in max protection is unacceptable I don't care how good they are.
