People will not agree but John Madden was great on Thanksgiving.

Didn't the "chrysanthemum" bit come from Madden on Thanksgiving?

I just tried looking it up thinking it was a famous quote from him, but apparently it's only in my memory.

Does anyone else remember Madden spending WAY too much time talking about the spelling of chrysanthemum?

Madden, Summerall, 12 legged turducken, Reggie White, Jimmy Johnson's Cowboys.... And of course Brett Favre is what Thanksgiving Football will always be to me.

Cannot be topped...

United Way series of commercials. The chrysanthemum one was Duce Staley. Also had Laroi Glover volunteering at a soup kitchen and getting scowled at for eating the dessert.

I miss them too. FOX had a nice tribute of them during the game.
