I was talking with a colleague today and he had an interesting theory on why Trump seems to have cooled on prosecuting Hillary but will not commit either way.

He thinks that there's a chance that BEHIND THE SCENES and through many intermediaries Trump may try to use not prosecuting Hillary to get all of his Cabinet appointments confirmed as well as his Supreme Court nominee. He posited that Trump has always viewed himself as the ultimate deal maker and he figures he's holding a "trump card" (no pun intended) with sHitlary's future.

In this way, he can pretty much nominate anyone (he thought it might be Cruz or Gowdy) and he could get the 60 votes needed without a real fight.

I thought it was an interesting theory.

I'd think less of him if he did that.

If you have a serious violation of law, you can't in good faith not prosecute.

Not a bad theory. Also, he is laying low until Inauguration Day. Keep it cool and smile until he is in charge.

The election is over. He won. He need not comment again, concerning her. The law will take care of her.

We would never know. That's why it would have to go through several intermediaries -- without any chance of it being traced back to the White House.

He would simply announce something to the effect of not wanting the rest of the world thinking that our leaders go after their political adversaries and not wanting to set a precedent.

Now, PERSONALLY, anyone who has read any of my posts on this board over the past year or so knows that my biggest wish is to see sHitlary do the perp walk and then be led out of criminal court and straight to jail in handcuffs.

That is a nice carrot to hang over the Democratic minority...

Rather the whole corrupt Democratic party.

Interesting theory. Not sure I agree, however. Hillarys support seems to be coming from her voters, NOT other Democrats. Politically speaking, she is done. In fact, it seems several Dems have already started to distance themselves from her. And as more time goes on, I wouldnt think her prosecution would be a big deal to other Dems.

But I do agree that Trump will play that card strategically in some manner. My own theory is that he will drop case on emails in order to consolidate the snowflakes on to his side (but will allow the foundation investigation to bring her down.)

In any event, should be interesting.

Bingo. I really think he is of the opinion to let the email thing go away slowly but surely, all the time knowing that the foundation is going to EXPLODE in her face and even the Dem powers that be, will let her hang!

so all dhimmicrats left in the US Congress are so loyal to Hirry that they would agree to this to keep Hirry from the gallows?

Just how much money does the Clinton Foundation/CGI/ Soros have?

I dont think theory holds enough water...

Sharks are loyal so long as there is enough raw meat to eat...they dont share...Clintons are dead letters now, Soros and this marxist shill stuff they are doing doesnt count.

To me, it all adds up to Treason/Sedition

Politicians have no spines, they are jellyfish. Especially when the the consideration for their 'decision' is a Clinton v. MAGA choice.

Bad deal! Trump needs to do everything he can to restore integrity and honor in the DOJ and FBI. If HRC and her posse have to go down to accomplish this task so be it.

He doesn't need to comment on Hellary ever again.

It's not the purview of the President to initiate criminal investigations nor court actions. He's Executive Branch, Hellary legal woes is Judicial Branch. Let sleeping dogs lie (pun intended).

I find this theory questionable at best. But, I'd think more of Trump if he did this deal. Don't get me wrong -- I deplore Hillary. But, if this were the agreement, the benefits of solid conservative judges in SCOTUS and in the cabinet would have much higher long-term impact than prosecuting her.

I hope he told the President in their 90 minute meeting that he has no intention of going after Hillary in hopes Obama doesn't feel the need to pardon her. Then on January 21, Trump laughs and puts the investigation back on

All he has to do is not obstruct the DOJ and FBI and he won't have to worry about "going after her."

I think he'll direct the FBI to do a legit investigation, it'll take a couple years and just when everyone thinks she's gotten off the hook, then if she's still alive, her and Bill get blammo'd.
