So I moved across the country almost 2 months ago and brought my aging system with me. It was well protected throughout the move. I finally got it set up again yesterday and had RAM detection issues per debug codes. Took out all of my ram but one stick, booted, and ram windows memory test. It passed and later blue screened. I'm planning on gutting it, cleaning it, and putting back together. Before the move it was fine. Anything else y'all can think to do? How can I clean RAM contacts? Was planning on blowing compressed air through the Mem slots and everywhere else.

Typically if this is occurring after a move, something jostled out of alignment. It's unlikely that dust caused it, but cleaning it is never a bad idea.

Use a vacuum cleaner after using the compressed air.

There are other potential causes for blue screens. You can reseat your processor; you can reinstall the OS. It may have had RAM detection issues, but there's no assurance that this is the actual cause of your BSOD.

Also, check your motherboard for swollen capacitors.
