Something about him that I thoroughly enjoy from hearing him talk about his philosophies concerning defense (putting players and their abilities in the correct spots to make plays) is what I think we all have been clamoring for when it comes to how we utilize our skill players on offense.

Any chance this mindset rubs off on Cameron/Miles? I really hope so...

Cameron and Miles will have to practice against the mind of Aranada instead of the swiss cheese Steele was putting together.

I don't see how the offense isn't significantly better this season.

The question I have is how long will it take the players on defense to really be able to execute what he wants? Do you think it is a big learning curve and it will not really be good until mid season or will it happen sooner? I have not heard any reports about how well the players are picking up the scheme and executing. Could really tell much from the P&G game. And do you think the type and style will be immediately recognizable compared to the style of defense from years past. Last year doesn't count since we sucked so bad and Steele couldn't even stop 3 and 32.

I agree, but when you go back and listen to his introductory press conferece in particular LINK, you see how he specifically mentions letting athletes be athletes and not overthink their assignments. That was something Steele's D did...it made our guys think. He will make a call and each guy will have a job...do your job. Don't think, just do. That to me is exciting. Don't over complicate things and let our superior athletes loose.

During the season the offense works against the sets and tendencies of the opponents not against our sets.

So the defense is stacking the box to stop LF7?

Nobody's rubbing that offense except Leslie Miles.

I don't think I have ever seen the excitement about something that I am about Aranda, between he and Valentine it is almost a dead heat. You know for players or coaches that few on here has ever seen in action.

It is almost the excitement seen from the Les Miles 'let er rip" video, or the Wizard Gary Crowton, or maybe even Cam Cameron..he was an NFL OC for Gods sake.

I really see no problem with Aranda being in a dual role of OC/DC.
