I hope he stays.... Helluva' player... Not sure he would give up Tiger baseball for a bus trip to the nearest town to play some meaningless minor league team with like 10 fans in the stands staying at a sleezy Bates Motel eating Ham sandwiches for lunch and dinner... YES, that is the life of Rookie and single A minor league ball... kudo's to Cole Freeman...

You did not mention that he would be getting paid, and would chase a probably life long dream of playing in the major leagues.

I'm sure if he doesn't get the money he will come back and then continue to chase it next year. He's more than likely not going to get more money than he would get this year, even if he got drafted quite a bit higher.

There are other factors in place here, so let's not act like he would be 100% stupid not to return.

Dodgers rookie league team averages 3,300 fans a game, their single A team 3,360, their double A 5,85, and Triple A 6,941.

People have crazy misconceptions about how many people actually show up to baseball games at all levels.

The experience most have are the Zephyers which can't fill up half their stadium. 4,710 Attendance for a stadium that fits 10k

I think he wants to stay
He actually went higher than projected
Dodgers are known to pay above for later picks if it works out with their early guys
If money is right he probably would be wise to take it, will be a tough decision for Freeman

Infield depth will not be an issue next year
