Nola reminds me of Greg Maddux with the way he locates pitches.

IMO, Aaron Nola was the best to ever pitch in P&G. And when you reflect on how many great pitchers we've had over the years (Guthrie, Parker, Ogea, Leskanic, McDonald, Laxton, Wilson, Coleman, Gausman, and so many more) that's saying a lot.
FTR, I hate comparing Tigers because it tends to turn on demeaning one. So it's not my intent in the least to do that. I just think Nola was the GOAT.
And to put a smile on your face, here's Aaron's career stats vs Bama:
IP H R ER BB SO
2012 5.0 3 1 1 0 5
2013 9.0 3 0 0 1 10
2014 9.0 4 0 0 0 9

The dude virtually didn't walk anyone his entire sophomore and junior years.

Our O still would have had a hard time with TD Ameritrade and PM still would have pulled pitchers too early or left them in too long

Thanks for the link. He has insane movement on most of his pitches, which is quite a feat considering he still can get it up there in velocity as well.

Wow I had no idea he was doing THAT well

and Gausman looked dominating in his first start since coming off the DL.

Well according to the rant he is not an ace and can't be one in future so you wouldn't want to keep him anyways
I lol'd

I like the velocity difference in his feature pitches. A change up add to the arsenal would be crucial.
Also, that 2-2 pitch to get Harper was nasty
When a right handed pitcher can beat his counterpart low and in, that's an accomplishment in itself, I think

I think you've got something there. I completely understand that hindsight is 20/20 but it sure seems to me that either PM or Dunn have a preset determination on how long a pitcher stays on the mound. I don't have a criticism with the way our SP's are handled but I just don't understand the bullpen treatment. with the incredible inconsistency our staff has we seem to have a one inning only rule. when we have to stop the bleeding and a guy comes in and does just that, leave him in for a few innings. yesterday made me sick.
