LSU vs Bama: Pregame Thoughts.

LSU has to finish off 5-1 in my opinion. And at least win 1 game in SEC tournament. Tonight will not be an easy matchup but we should get the win. We are coming off a big win and hopefully have put that in the past and are now worried about finishing strong. Any thoughts?

If LSU finishes 5-1 the rest of the way they probably win the SEC so they would be in. The number is 13 and that has been the number since the beginning of SEC play. Whether that is 13-5 in the league or 12-6 with a win in the SEC tourney.

If LSU finishes 4-2, that's 13-5 in the SEC and probably 2nd to UK, imo. If LSU then goes 0-fer in the SECT, then even the mega-pumpers have to be a little nervous. Or at least they should be.
I think LSU still gets in, but if a lot of surprise teams start winning their conference tournaments, who knows.
Now, drop that to 12-6 and we really on the bubble's bubble.
In other words, yes, LSU needs to beat Bama tonight.

Finishing 13-5 in the SEC puts us in the ncaa tournament, no questions asked.
What "realists" don't realize, and that LSU actually has better resumes than so so so sooooo many other bubble teams. We actually have a few quality wins and we have reasons for our bad losses.

I think we finish 4-2, but I expect this to be one of the 4 wins and it should be if we come out an play with energy and focus from the start.
And I think that will be enough to get us in no matter what we do in the tournament, but I think we'll win at least one game there.

Agreed, Bama is playing well and feeling good about themselves, but again...it's on us. We come to play we win, it's as simple as that IMHO. We slop around and aren't into the game for too long a stretch, Bama's playing well enough to beat us. It's up to LSU.
