Like all of you, after the Super Bowl, signing day, NFL draft, and spring games, its torture waiting on football to played again. There should be a summer league formed. Have the cities that dont have a pro team come together to create teams and divisions.

Same rules as college. Draft system similar to NFL. 10 regular season games. 4 team playoff. Hire a comittee to determine rankings. It could be done.

I don't think enough people will pay money to see minor-league football in the summer. Why pay to see the minors out of season when you can see college and pros in the Fall and Winter?

If you want summer FB you have the CFL which starts in early July.

I really cannot comprehend this attitude. You can't wait to sit on your arse and stare at a screen?

I mean, I desperately look forward to LSU and college football starting up again, but I have no desire to see random semi-pro football instead.

"looking forward to it" is different than being "tortured" by not having any football (or any sport) to watch.

OK. Sitting on your arse staring at the field...whatever.

American teams in the World League (NFL Europe) only lasted 2 years and that was with NFL support 25 years ago.

There are far too many other things to attract people's money and attention than minor league football in the offseason.

That will take too much of a toll on players. The league is already a preseason, 16 game season, and in some cases a postseason, regular fitness and nutrition schedule and more it's already a year-long grind

The summertime is for watching baseball.

The WFL, USFL, XFL, UFL all have tried and failed to either be an additional league/alternative to the NFL. The USFL probably had the best shot but tried to grow too fast.
