2013 Honda Fourtrax Stolen off of trailer on Kidder Road in Carencro LA last night.
If you see this bike around please report to Lafayette Sheriff's Department. This is the umpteenth bike stolen from our area in the past few years. Help us catch these arse hats.
Thanks.

I don't understand why they haven't come out with (and maybe they have), a cheap, simply GPS unit hidden inside ATVs and other similar things.
When it gets stolen, you turn the system ON. And as soon as someone turns the key, it sends you a text message with the GPS coordinates of it.
Or, better yet, once a week everything I own turns itself on and "checks in" with a database. Sends in its GPS location. And then sends me a map I can look at.
I'm sure the technology exists. I'm just curious why no one is marketing it aggressively. Maybe they are and I just don't know about it.

I hate a damn thief. Hope you find it

yep, thieves are the lowest of the low. It's a goddamn shame a man would steal another mans shite. Last week some hood rat stole my pistol, GPS and a brand new esee knife out of my truck right next to my office. the first time I've left my truck unlocked there in eight years...
it's like they are just out there waiting
I hope that mfer shoots himself and ten more just like him

Lo jack works like that but I don't know if they are around here any more

Maybe it isn't out there, or at least in the form as simply as you out it. Get out there and cash in, baw!

Never thought about it actually, even with all the ATV theft we have had around here. Next bike will definitely have something like that on it regardless of cost. The ability to catch these low-lifes will be worth every penny.

Just did a quick google search and the following came up:
Lojack
Guidepoint
Micro-Trak
just to name a few.

Technology is definitely out there, has been for a while on construction equipment. There can be "fences" on them, tracking, maintenance, hour meters, etc. Their cost is relatively low, it's the monthly monitoring fee that kinda gets costly.

Gonna be hard to find with it being such a popular model

What the hell is the deal with Carencro and stolen bikes? Buddy of mine had his brand new bike stolen out the back of his truck when he lived in Carencro. Damn thieves.

Yeah its rampant out here on the east side of 49. Its not hood or poverty stricken but it's definitely a hot spot.
It's ok, game on....we about to set up some bait and start thief shaming. If they don't bite cool, if they do even better.
