First time parking at Alex box lot. Can anyone with experience tell me the best way into and out of the lot. Can I access the lot from any direction before the game? After the game, I know I will be routed south. Any suggestions or things to avoid when leaving?

Thanks for your help.

Go to lsusports.net ... somewhere in there is a parking map that shows exit routes.

Depends on what direction you have to go after the game.

After the game, if you can cross over Nicholson to Burbank, I would go that way. They will force you south to Staring (which is the same street as Essen Lane, just changes names) or Bluebonnet. If Bluebonnet, you can do one of two things:

1. Take it all the way to Jefferson Hwy. and take left. Then take a right onto I-12.

2. From Bluebonnet, go west on I-10 to Essen and exit right. There's an entrance to I-12 between I-10 and Jefferson Hwy.

Or take Bluebonnet all the way to Airline then hang a left and I-12 is right there.

Welcome my friend. I've been parking there for the past 5 years. This year is probably the easiest it's ever been. You can access it from any direction before the game. After, you'll be directed down east on Nicholson or Burbank depending on the lane you are in when you reach the Nicholson light. It's pretty simple but be prepared for traffic as always.

I park at the Box for every game and I drive in along the levee. I rarely hit any traffic, but I typically roll in an hour or less before kickoff. After the game, I cross over onto Burbank, turn left on Staring and hit the interstate. Super easy.

Pretty good place to park...Just follow Tigress' directions and you are good to go anywhere east....if you want to go west from there, just go ahead and shoot yourself now

Going in, take River Rd traveling north from the casino so you take a right and catch it from the back side. You avoid the total cluster on Burbank. Leaving that lot, only thing I have for you is make sure you piss before getting in the car to leave. You're gonna be sitting for a while.
