“I’m rooting for the Cowboys, I don’t root for him,” Roger Staubach told USA Today. “I’m still rooting for the Cowboys. I’m not a Hardy fan.”
quote:
“We know what he did,” Staubach said. “I’ve got a wife and four daughters and I’ve got 12 granddaughters. I would go ballistic if anybody touched any of our daughters or granddaughters in a harmful way. I’m not that forgiving for anybody that commits domestic violence.”
Staubach also is concerned that Hardy eventually will be involved in another alleged domestic violence incident.
“It just seems like that particular problem, unless you really get a lot of help, you just don’t overcome it,” Staubach said. “You’ve got to get help. It’s not just, ‘Hey, I did this, it won’t happen again.’ It happens again. . . . It’s a worrisome deal when someone hits a woman. Hopefully that someone is getting help to never do it again.”

Staubach was and is one of the good guys. Military man, exceptional football player, and entrepreneur.

I know a guy with a similar family profile whose family just got entered into a university study of all the progeny being women. Gott-damn that's a lot of chicks.

Not quite as drastic, buy my sister has three sons, and her oldest (the only one with kids so far) has three sons as well.

Why should we praise Staubaugh for taking the obvious stance?

Is Staubach still Catholic? Does he still go to Mass? He used to be an altar boy.

I dunno, any other former Cowboys leap forward to take a stance?

Great point.
In addition to the fact that Roger Staubach is THE Cowboy.

He's from Ohio. Of course he's a good guy.

People don't have to come out and say obvious stuff. Like "racism is bad", "don't beat the sh*t out of women".

Sorry, I down voted you and then subsequently realized my entire family hails from Ohio. Unfortunately can't take that down vote back.

Go Navy!
re entrepreneur: I had recently read that Staubach is the most successful football player (outside of NFL). Sorry no link to article
