I agree with your initial comment for sure. Other conferences were losing interest. But again, expanding to a Final 4 would have solved that. No need for a committee imo

Agree to an extent. The committee is to make it more even across conferences, instead of SEC domination.
However, the BCS would have never had just 4 SEC teams in the top 4 so it was perfect to simply take those teams.

The BCS would have had the exact same four teams in last year as well.
With the exact same matchups.. Only difference is Oregon and FSU ranking of 2 and 3 were reversed.
