I see the diffrences in wt, size Etc.

Does anyone have experience with -both- and how do you like your preference for conceal carry?

If those are the choices, I would go with the Kahr. They just do those types of guns better - at the end of the day, the Glock is still going to be a smallish brick.

I find that Glock scaling down does not present the same advantages in weight and ease of carry that their larger offerings do. And to be fair, I haven't shot the Glock single stack, yet, but I've held a few. The Kahr has trigger issues, but if I were getting a gun in that category, I'd probably get the Kahr, although I'd probably kick up to the PM9. Either way, I would probably do something to the trigger, which is the only real knock on the Kahrs.

Kahr or Shield. The G43 is stupid. Very stupid.

Ace,
What's your issue w/ the Kahr trigger?

I don't have serious heartaches with it - the stock trigger is just a little long (and I'm a Sig guy, so that's saying something) and the reset isn't really clean. I haven't tried their elite trigger, but I'm told it really cleans things up, both a shorter pull and a shorter, cleaner reset.

But, I've pushed Kahr on here without even owning one, baw, you know that.

I regularly carry a CM9. My other carry gun is a Glock 19. I do not have any issues with the trigger on the Khar. Yes , it is long but I find it very smooth and predictable. I was surprised about how capable it is for a small pistol. I am able to keep all 7 shots into the center chest zone on a full size target at 20 yards. IMHO, that's pretty good for a small pistol such as this. However, to be fair, I have not shot it side by side with a G43 nor a Shield.

I own the CM9 and it's about as small as I would want to go in a 9MM. The trigger is a little long, however it's really smooth. I actually don't mind a longer trigger when it comes to smaller guns. It's a safety issue. I believe Bapple has a video on YouTube with either a CM9 or PM9. Also, take a look at the Ruger LC9s. That new trigger is awesome.

It doesn't eat the flat nose rounds very well.

I haven't shot any of the single stack Glocks or the Shield. I can say definitively that of those 3 that Kahr fits my hand the best and has the best overall feel of any of the subbies. I'm a Sig guy, but, if I go with a polymer subcompact - mainly for pocket carry - it will be a Kahr CM9 or PM9 - about that I have very little doubt.

(ETA: And I keep forgetting the LC9 - that is the dark horse against the Kahrs unless I find a tiny Sig that is just right).

To be honest - every single blowback .380 (or equivalent) is finicky with ammo, possibly excepting the Makarov.

actually when it comes to .380 ammo, WWB is the worst because of the flat nose. I won't buy it because of the feeding issues. I buy either American Eagle or Monarch Brass from Academy.

I'm obviously a glock homer so I'd lock the 43.... I've had mine a few months and it's been a enjoyable gun to shoot. The few times I've shot a kahr I couldn't get used to that long trigger pull. It's a smooth pull but I seem to remember it being very long.... It's been a while since I've shot one though.

What are you shooting for target practice? How about self defense loads?

you can get the Ruger LC9s for cheap. And this is coming from a guy who's been carrying the CM9 for 3 years.
