LINK

I heard glenn beck on his program talk about goldline' newest gold product they have called the Legal Tender Bar Gold Bullion. It's thin and the same size of a credit card to keep in your wallet. It's 5 mints of gold they you can pop out and each mint is worth $25. I am interested not in a investment but like a insurance policy incase the dollar would ever collapse. It doesn't give a price on how much it is and just wanted your opinion on it. Thanks

Question: If the dollar collapses what exactly will be its value and what would you trade it for?

Not that there is anything wrong with buying gold, this is just a marketing gimmick though.

As an "insurance policy", a case of 7.62x39mm ammo will be more useful (and valuable) should the dollar ever collapse.

I wish I just had the interest on the money that the fear mongers on talk radio have made over the years.

If you're actually serious about this, why not buy something that would actually be useful like canned goods, ammo, etc.? In a doomsday scenario those would be very tradeable, far more so than slivers of shiny metal.

One reason why is that you'll have a hard time proving it's real gold. Why should the other guy take your word for it? After the zombie/Rapture/commie invasion happens neither of you can sue Goldline if it isn't real.

I bet he'd prefer a box of ammo.

Ammo, canned goods, MRE's, veggie/fruit seeds, water filters, medication/antibiotics, tools...gold is not very usesful unless your crisis is related.
