My new car has light taupe leather interior that I can see getting dirty over time without proper care and some preventive maintenance. I didn't spring for the $200+ "simoniz" up-charge at the dealer. Does scotchgard make something?

Don't use scotchgard. You don't need to protect your leather just clean and condition it every once in a while. A cheap solution that can be found at all the auto stores and walmart is Lexol.

I used Mothers a few months ago and was satisfied.

Here are some tips to cleaning leather. LINK

Also look into Meguiar's leather conditioner as well. They make pretty good products.

For God's sake, do not use Armour All. It will stick to your leather like a film of grease and requires Dawn dish soap to strip it. And when you do strip it, it'll take some color with it. I've seen it with my own 2 eyes.

What can I use on mine if it has AC seats with the air holes in the leather?

Lexol is the best cleaner that won't frick up the leather. The conditioner is also good because it doesn't make the seats greasy after you finish putting it on/wiping it off.

I used the Lexol cleaner on my Tahoe as a spot cleaner, and it cleaned it so well that I had to end up doing the rest of the seats because they were different colors

leatherique. you're welcome

I have always thought of this as more of a rehab product and not regular maintenance

Adams Car Care

Some of the best car care products on the market. Anything you can buy at autozone, pepboys is usually complete shite.

leatherique just make sure to keep the leather conditioned and soft. To clean it nothing works better than magic eraser.

I wouldn't consider Meguiar's shite. Autozone and Pepboys also carry Griot's Garage product, which I wouldn't consider to be shite.

The best thing you can do to keep your leather in good shape is to not let fat, nasty or otherwise messy people in your vehicle.
