Eventually you have to move past the "coach with principles" and get a coach that knows to play his best players available to him.

I will say Howard has been great this year at Everton but GUZAN is my boy.

So Timmy and LD can't take breaks from the USMNT without punishment but DMB can retire and still be the first choice LB? Da Fuk?

No. He retired once after World Cup and was asked to rejoin the squad (he's been in great form for Houston and was an MLS All Star).

I doubt they'll let him retire on a missed penalty that ended a game.

When did Beasley unretire?

Did Beasley change his mind on his own accord or did Jurgen just call up a retired Beasley and DMB is just that much of an awesome American?

Apparently jurgen reached out to him and asked how he would feel about coming back. Beasley said he would do it and was called up shortly after.

Now he hasn't gotten a ton of international time because he's had some nagging injuries. He's being held out for these two friendlies as a precaution.

I am big fan of Run DMB. The guy has done everything asked of him by his country. That penalty is not the way he should go out.

He deserves a send off game when it's all said and done.
