Good fricking luck to that kid when he gets to college. The over sheltered underliberated kids always explode when they get there
Au contraire. I was NOT sheltered, had complete freedom growing up. Raised by a single mom with two much younger siblings to watch out for. It's people like that that "explode" when they get to college. Believe me, I lived it. I have too many f'd up stories that I'd prefer my kids not to have.

A kid with a 9 o'clock bedtime in high school is going to have a rough freshman year, assuming he's not a complete nerd.
1st, this solidifies why kids shouldn't have access to social media. Some stranger - presumably a decent enough person when not on the OT - feels the need to berate a kid by assuming he's going to be "complete nerd". To your point, of all the tags that are out there: nerd, thug, fatty, etc., we can live with nerd. It's amazing how the "nerdy" kids always turn out alright. I wasn't nerdy growing up...man, I wish I was. I would have save my arse a lot of trouble.
