Do you buy gift cards?

I routinely purchase gift cards online to save a little on something I know that I am going to purchase.
Can someone explain why anyone would pay more than the value of the card? There are several amazon cards, one with many bids, that are charging more than the value of the card. What is going on here? For example, there is a $350 card that is currently at $361, with 33 bids....
