I'm with you that he is technically terrible at their mutual job but I am simultaneously claiming that cowherds job is worlds different from SVP's and he plays his character extremely well.
I like that SVP is doing this but i think it shows how relevant cowherd is.

Used to somewhat like cowherds show but he is as arrogant and self absorbed as they come...has been on a downhill slide for a while now

I don't mind his show much because I understand his shtick. Same way I could never take First Take seriously, but I can appreciate how good they are at their characters and getting people worked up. Bayless is still the best troll, and its hilarious how pissed off he makes people. They are meant for entertainment, nothing more. You have to admit they stay relevant, people talk about them all the time. I don't listen to or watch either much, but I can have it on TV and have no problem with it.
