Heading to Italy over the summer with a couple friends and really would like to find a place to Cliff Dive. We're making our way through Italy by way of Rome, Florence, and Venice.

We plan on stopping in the cinque Terre region for a day or so and was wondering if anyone may know if we'd be able to cliff dive in or around that area?

Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I've been there but I never head of cliff diving being an option. I'm not even sure you can take the mountain trail between the villages anymore. I heard they had a landslide.

ETA: Did you google it? I got a couple of hits.

So many forget Sicily, if you like to suba then there is no better place than Siracusa. My landlord's brother was a dive instructor and took me out a few times.

yes this is a google search page

The Catacombs there are better than in Greece.

another google link

It's not that people forget, I would love to go to Sicily, it's just out of the way when you're hitting the major spots.

There is a spot in corniglia at waters edge that has some rocks where people lay out. I climbed some of the rocks and jumped off them several times. It's not very high though, 20 ft maybe

I've done it. In Montessori (check the spelling, but its where we stayed and its one of the 5 cities that comprises it.) you can cliff dive. I think a girl from LSU actually died doing it a year or two after we did it, but its about a 60-70' drop, into some deep crystal clear water. It's awesome. We jumped all over the place.

FYI, skip Venice and spend more time in the other towns you mentioned you are going to.
