I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of Star Wars Battlefront later this year and will hope to play the game on highest settings. My budget is around $500-$600 dollars. I've always had Nvidia cards and have been pretty happy with them. So what's your opinion of the best card I can get in that price range?

Here you go: LINK

Looks like the best bang for your buck is the Geforce GTX 960 at NewEgg for about 200 bucks.

Or if you want a 256 bit card and don't mind spending more maybe the 970: LINK

Cool site, thanks. Actually it looks like that 980 is in my range. But if I can get something close to that for cheaper I'd go that route. The more I look at that 970, I think it may be the one I'm looking for..

Edit - damn I should have out this in the gaming board

Does it have to be Nvidia, or are you open to value? And what resolution? Don't tell me you're spending $600 for 1080p gaming.

It doesn't have to be Nvidia, but thats what I've always had.

What resolution, and what does the rest of your rig look like?

I'm not exactly sure about the resolution. I have a Asus Rage III Extreme motherboard, 8 GB of RAM and a Core i7. Some of my stuff is getting a little dated but my current video card is the oldest (GTX295).

How do you know all of this but not the resolution?

Because I built the pc myself but I dont know the resolution of my monitor offhand. All I know is I'm hoping to play the game at max settings.

I really don't know how to respond to this. Go figure out your resolution.

on the desktop click personalize. Look for display on the left.

Then look for change display settings.

Setting should list the resolution.

Probably says 1920 X 1080 (Recommended)

Ok, I thought yall were talking about the game resolution. I know that can be adjusted sometimes. My monitors resolution is 1900x1200. I'm definitely not planning on replacing my monitor even if that resolution is too low..
