Buddy sent me this, my first thought was shopped or camera trickery but looking at it more seems it may be legit and doesn't look like he's stretching it way out close to the camera. Said it was caught near Cocodrie, if real imagine a dozen of these bad boys in a boil!

he's holding it towards the camera lens

ETA: looks like his thumbs are 5' apart or so. Big crab but not unusual

If all crabs were that big it wouldn't be safe to have them in a boat.

So. Much. Anger.

Indeed, look at how huge his thumbs are in the pic. Looks like a nice crab with some camera tomfrickery.

A blue crab on a grand isle pier is the most pissed off animal on earth. Can you imagine that thing chopping at you and blowing bubbles and shite? Aint no good way to grab that big bastard.

I can easily see that being real. I can also see a proper crab hoist being performed.

My favorite is after a long day opening up the ice chest and it looks like you just opened the door to hell with all the claws sticking up in the air.

Funny story. We were fishing live bait once and kept getting "shotgun nibbles", but we weren't catching shite when we'd set the hook. Well 10 minutes of that told me we were in a good blue crab hole.

Sure enough, the next one I slowly reeled him all the way in and we netted him. Then threw him in the bottom of the boat.

We managed to catch about a dozen more like that before we decided to move.

For the rest of the afternoon it was like walking around in a Vietnamese mine field in that old jon boat. Somebody would get to hollerin' and you'd know they done got on one.

Reminded me of ones I caught in East Texas, filled up several ice chests with these bad boys.

I was eating boiled crabs when Warren Morris hit the shot heard round the Tiger World. At father-in-laws, good times.
