Sucks for you suburbanites. I also heard all the cities like Forest Hill, Oak Hill, Berry Hill, Belle Meade, Goodlettsville, and Ridgetop are not included.
Woah...Belle Meade, Forest Hill....they'll be up in arms over that. What about East Nashville?

If by "East Nashville" you mean still in the city limits, then you should be fine.

Great. Do they have a timetable to expect services to be up and running?

They're having a news conference today at noon, so hopefully we will find out more then.

Yeah I'm pretty sure those units are going for $300-350 a square foot. It's getting crazy.

Definitely the case in Atlanta.

Need to get that local utility in gear then. I am glad I have EPB over Google. Google has some restrictions on their gig accounts that EPB does not.
It's being done more around Tennessee this way, last time I was up near my parents in Farragut, I think they had their local utility going for it. I am not sure it is as cheap as google and EPB is though. I think the tri cities has some doing it too.

In a state franchise agreement, Google did not include satellite cities — Oak Hill, Forest Hills, Belle Meade, Berry Hill and Goodlettsville — in its application, but has said that it could bring services to those areas. "We look forward to engaging with satellite cities as we continue the process of bringing Google Fiber to the region," Google said in an emailed statement.

I'm curious if all of the other telecommunication companies also offer these speeds in the suburbs of Austin where there is no access to Google Fiber.
Short answer, no.
I'm in South Austin, not that far out, and I'm just outside of Google Fiber and AT&T high speed current offerings. Not sure about Time Warner.
