In the past I bought my wife one of those things you put a big spoon/ladle/spatula on while you're cooking so the counter doesn't get dirty.

I got her one with a fleur de lis on it from some mom and pop store years ago so I've never had to actually search for one.

Well now she would like to add another one to our kitchen and for the life of me I can't think of what those things are called.

I want to find her a nice ornate one on the internet but I don't know what to search for. Spoon thing just doesn't seem to get the right results.

Anyone know the proper name for those things?

Now that I know what they are called I need to find one. Does anyone know of a store online that may have one with a fleur de lis on it?

Amazon is coming up short.

Nice looking one. I have several, but I use a salad plate or a paper plate so I can put multiple things on it. I find the spoon rests to be too small for my big spoons and spatulas.

I have a little antique saucer I keep on my stove for it. I use too many utensils at once for a normal spoon rest.
