Californication is pure crap, isn't it?

I liked the pilot, there were some LOL's, but then....
Sex with some beautiful chick, Hank caught in some compromising position, true love gets upset with him and thus with the relationship... RINSE, REPEAT. Why bother to provide a story when it's easier to drag out some porn?
On top of that:
David Duchovny is not ugly, but he's no God's gift to women, either, so it strains credibility that he'd have such a parade of women hop into the sack with him at the slightest encounter. His agent, Charlie, is ugly as all get out and even more pathetic than that. At least he can act, I guess. Hank's true love, the mother of his daughter, is a humorless robotic wench, and his daughter is a humorless robotic creep. Neither can act worth a damn.
And Hank is a writer, right? Except that he never writes, but his works magically appear, anyway, affecting everybody around him, even when he does nothing but frick around and hang out on other people's couches.
I'm done with this.

It got pretty tired toward the end but I liked Hank's character so it was always a good time kill show for me.

I mean it's the same thing over and over and over again. Hank Moody is a fun as hell character, but it could only drag on so long.

Hank Moody is the man. The last season was absolutely terrible though sadly. Season 1-3 are awesome.

You have to take it for what it is...an R rated Two and a Half Men without the winey brother and kid. There is some great humor at times but don't expect much more than that.
