I guess you do not read threads discussing this in detail. Mett was not developed by Miles or anyone at LSU, Georgia did the selection and some development, then JUCO continued development and training. But to make things clearer for you since you seem to be blind, he sat while JJ played

I wish them great success in their current search at JUCO's because it is the only way we have a chance at a successful quarterback, they have not screwed up, like Mett

NO but they do grow in Georgia....and if they don't Richt and staff can find then and Coach them.

Mett is a UGA rerun, Nick Marshall is a UGA rerun....

LM and company don't get it done at QB

Big white guy with last name ending in berger would be good. preferably a Roethlisberger or a mettenberger would be nice. We will have to warn the ladies that there will be a berger on campus but nothing we cant overlook for a NC

What is rarely discussed here is that Mett showed great improvement from year two to year three and why. Not sure how much was coaching, but his final season Mett had one class and spent all his time reviewing film. So the key for his development was being allowed the time to study film. Time college quarterbacks don't usually have, but pro qb's do.

That said, a quarterback must not throw when receivers are open, he must throw before they are open. This is something LSU's quarterbacks rarely seem to be able to do. Is it coaching or do the guys we recruit just not have the innate ability to see and predict what will happen?

If there is one thing Miles and his staffs have proven is they don't know how to recruit the QB position.

Cam has recruited one QB of his liking. Harris is a true freshman, for crying out loud. In most cases, he would have redshirted. Give him some time to develop under Cam, and in 3 years we'll know if Cam got the work done. Les is not the QB guru, so the onus falls on Cam. Harris is his guy, and if Harris does not pan out, it's on Cam.

Seriously even if LSU had a Cam Newton or Tom Brady, do you really think Miles would trust them enough in their first full starting season?

I just don't.. He treats the QB position with such fear and lack of confidence
