When we beat the gumps Saturday it will be the end of their season. They MUST win out to have a chance in the playoffs, and a loss to the Tigers will crush their morale. The next week they will not care anymore and MState will put the nail in the coffin. This is why I don't think we'll get a chance to play for the West even if we win out. JMO

We will still have a great season considering our struggles, and will be in the mid top 10. Even though we have a snowball chance for the playoffs, don't look for it. Our best hope is to play lights out and knock the gumps out.

Word on Tiger Talk yesterday was that this bye week has been a great stretch of practice and the attitude is there.

I can't wait for Saturday night!

Disagree. Just like LSU didn't care anymore after losing to MSU and Auburn?

If the Bama season turns into a dumpster fire as a result of a loss to LSU, I can live with MSU winning the West and LSU going to a major, non playoff, bowl.

Not trying to rain on any parades, just saying when Bama gets down they lose momentum (see Oklahoma '13).

There is a CHANCE we get in if everything lines up, but I'm happy with kicking their shite in and ruining it for them.

Just like it's not out of reach for us to win the West, it won't be impossible for Bama either, even if they lose on Saturday. I think they'd see the #1 team coming to their place as a perfect opportunity to get back in the mix, a lot like we see Bama now. A lot of games left, and anything can happen.

Just beat Bama, if LSU ends up 10-2 it will be a great year regardless of where they end up. Anything better that happens after that...great!

I just hope we can finish strong and win out. 10 and 2 would be a really good year with the way the season started in the SEC.

I am completely fine with being out of SECW contention if that meant we crushed Ole Miss and Bama's championship dreams.

if we beat bama and the aggies my wishes will have come true. don't care about anything else as the playoffs, bowl selections, etc will all take care of itself. if arky beats us but we win the other two, i'll still be a happy man. I just don't hate arky; I really, really, really hate bama and the aggie.

It couldn't happen to be because OU was the better team? Nah...

Regardless of what happens this weekend, bama will go 3-0 to finish their regular season.

Correction - it will be a great finish to the year. Not a great year knowing that stubbornly/stupidly starting Welter likely cost us at least one of the two losses and a shot at a truly great season.

Not to mention what it cost us last year when we had one of the best LSU offenses ever.

Agree about just beating Bama and letting the chips fall. #geauxtigers

Short of LSU winning the West, this is the best outcome. If it can't be LSU, I'd like to see MSU win it.

I don't agree with that, but it's hard to get up for two big games in a row. Mississippi St. hasn't had a challenge in a while, so I think they'll be more ready to play. Also, I don't think our defense in particular makes people feel good.

I'm not assuming we're going to win, but I think my argument holds true either way unless they win easily.
