LINK

this was ridiculous, and totally unacceptable. Bama false starts on 3rd and 2, and the clock continued to run instead of stopping.

Arkansas would have gotten the ball back. Who knows if they have a long return off the punt or block the punt and get into FG range to win the game? Stranger things have happened.

Everyone saw that as it happened but the officials.

The best was the Bama fans in the game thread trying to explain that it was the correct call

This has more to do with the parity in the SEC.

When so many games are close, the officiating is going to be under more scrutiny and one penalty might make a huge difference.

I always see the clock winding after false starts...is there some rule that says it doesn't happen after a certain time?

I remember watching that play and hoping that Alabama would just continue to false start the rest of the game and run out the clock.

Near the end of a game(not sure if it is last two minutes or what) the official only starts the clock on the snap if there was a pre snap foul on the offense when the clock was running..... Otherwise they could keep false starting and run the clock all the way down

Whatever the rules are or what people think the rules are, the office came out and said the refs screwed up.

That's really all one needs to know.

The play was offsetting personal foul. Thoughts?
