I'll be in town for a few days in September, staying at the Hyatt near DFW. Really anywhere is in play, and I'm open to anything from dives to fine dining

check out this list from D magazine, I have it printed out at home

D Magazine

tons of great options

Canne Rossa is my favorite pizza place. it was on Diners Drive Ins and Dives and voted pizza in Dallas 3 years in a row

for a nice meal

Nick And Sams
Al Biernets
Eddie V's
Trulucks

head over to grapevine(right next to DFW airport), great downtown, lots of wine bars and some cool bars. tolberts is kick arse, best chili in town and has live music

also they have a fireside pies(kick arse upscale pizza joint with craft beer) and Bobs steak and chop house(fine dining)

Tons of great options, keep us posted. its a great up and coming food city

Oh yeah, Mias tex mex is the shite like mentioned above. also a new place in uptown is called Mesa Maya. great patio and tequila bar. tons of arse and food is top notch. right next to house of blues

Boulevardier

Absolutely. Enjoyed oysters and a grilled pork chop last time there.

I also like Lockhart's Smokehouse as well, located right down the street from Boulevardier.

Hopdoddy is good, the talent that frequents this place is even better.

Angry Dog has the best burger in Dallaa.

Hey I forgot about an area right by dfw in las colinas. I do a lot of meetings in that area and have planned dinners before and two of my favorites are the ranch and blue fish.

The ranch is great because it's texan cuisine with a nice bar and outdoor band every night. Anything from steaks, elk, bison, and great wine list. Price isn't too bad either. $20-30 per entree

Blue fish is a kickass sushi joint but also has a great non sushi menu. 2 for 1 sushi lunch and also great happy hour

You and I agree on some stuff but not this. I've tried Blue Fish a couple of times and it is the worst sushi I have ever had. Both times I had to leave half of it on the plate.

Really? Interesting. Which location?

It's always been good for me and everyone I take

It wins viewer pick for best sushi every year in d magazine. To each is own. I get it

Sushi sake in Richardson is apparently the holy grail of sushi places and me and my wife thought it was very average.
