The Civil Wars make it official...they are no longer

Sad day today but at least we got to experience their passion, love, anger, whatever in their music.
Loved them the first time I saw them on Austin City limits...I was like who the hell is these two people with voices of angels plus the female lead was hot.
Good luck to the both of them.

they were so good. i'm sad they are parting ways. wish i could have seen them live. they played like 2 or 3 times at OEJs

Saw them live three... make that four times. Reinvigorated my faith in music during a down period; I'll always owe them for that.

I found them to be pretty boring honestly. They weren't bad live, but kinda seemed forced / cheesy. It's like they were trying to act like a couple when they were not.

I really liked them at first and then quickly got extremely bored. I respect them, but the music didn't have any staying power for me.

Only really listened to one of their albums. The songs were okay when he sung, but as soon as she chimed in I wanted to cram knitting needles in my ears.

How ironic a band named The Civil Wars would break up due to "internal discord and irreconcilable differences of ambition". I liked them.
