There were after the fact rumors that we didn't return calls from Phoenix and Houston.
Credible rumors or blog boy rumors?

Seeing him not be that guy for 3 years has made me realistic. He's never going to be what people thought he could be.
This will be his first year being truly healthy. Even being injured, his PER 36 #s are right there with his best years. He's also going to be playing on the best team he's ever been on and won't have the pressure of being "the guy" on a crappy team like when he got here.
Like i said, if he sucks this year, we can crucify him. At that point it won't matter as his time here will be almost up. If he's great, then that benefits us tremendously.
You can tell the guy has some pride left in him. He wants to elevate this team.

Sadly, he didn't look nearly that explosive last season.

Why would Garnett have a problem with Monty? Also, I could plausibly, thought highly unlikely, see KG take a mentor approach with AD and sign a contract extension in a player/coach role. Plus I think KG would bring some heart to this team which is sorely missing now that J Smith is gone.
Otherwise I agree the Brooklyn deal is far more unrealistic than the Memphis deal.
If I am Memphis I seriously take a hard look at that swap. Q-pon is coming back which makes Prince extra useless, which is hard to fathom, and EG is a fairly large upgrade over C. Lee.

I just hope the refs stop swallowing the whistle when he drives. I swear the guy gets clobbered every other time
no one likes that fricker...
I hope he plays lights out, and we move him at the deadline. I would be ecstatic if we could turn him into some young talent and or picks, but most of all, free up the dollars so we can get our nucleus locked up.
Jrue
Reke
Ryno
Asik
AD
Rivers
Getting that locked up, and adding more depth and a legit 3 should be our main priority.

Unless you factor in eating up cap space.

I don't remember who said it, but it was a professional journalist if that matters. It wasn't anyone like Woj though. It doesn't really matter though. If true the mistake wasn't not taking calls with offers Demps probably could guess, the mistake was thinking Gordon was more valuable than their lowball offers.
