Anyone ever try the area north of the river between Lake Batola and Grand Point Bay? Or anywhere around there north of 39? Grass is so bad in Delacroix right now, and just looking to try something new.

Redfish were crashing all along the bank of the lake near Irish Bayou yesterday opposite of the Castle House and south of I-10. I caught 3 of them but no keepers. Hopefully I can get back out there today

Where is the Castle House? Couldn't find it on Google. Did you make it to the grass beds at the entrance of the lake?

you can see it to the right when heading East on I-10 a few miles before you hit the Twinspans. The purple pin is the Castle House

Wouldn't be more fun if you found a great fishing spot without help and very few people knew about it?

That involves time, effort, and patience. I have neither, can you email me some coordinates?

Across from the texaco on hwy 11. There is a gravel lot and a few rocks but it's easy launching. Heading out now

I was really just looking for a general area and advice on the particular spot I mentioned before driving all the way down there. Then Explore and find my own honey holes.
