LSU could not have had the SEC Tourny play out more perfect. As long as the Tigers keep winning each team we play will have played one more game this week than the Tigers. Add that along with a seven inning ten run rule our pitching staff will have the advantage over anyone we face.

The best news is MSU closer threw 65 pitches, that's starter numbers

Time to find out how the rest of the Pitchers/Bullpen are for post season play. I've been worried all season about starter #3 in the rotation. If this is regional play, we are in the championship game, but don't have a proven Ace to pitch.

I see the SECT playing out similar to Omaha if we were to make it. Throw our two studs early and hope Johnny Wholestaff can beat some rag arm.

You also have to remember though. If we are in a regional format right now, you throw Poche against the 4 day 1, Nola day 2 and then you are sitting waiting for somebody else that has to beat you twice.

That's will be a team who has played 3 games to LSU's 2. Their pitching staff will be much more depleted. And even if they steal the first one they have to dig deeper into their staff to do it again. That's a nice set up for LSU. Poche just has to keep dominating.

If the bats continue to be this hot then book your rooms for Omaha!!!!

The SEC is tougher than any regional we play in. And we have a good chance of playing ULL in a super...I like our chances against them.

any chance we'd see a reverse rotation in a regional setting ? it's not like we'd need him to beat a 4 seed and them potentially the 3 seed.

I want Ole Miss and Florida. In that order. Lets give the selection committee something to consider.

Edit to add: Although I see the benefit of having Arky oust the Rebs today.

The selection committee seems to place higher values on DIFFERENT criteria, virtually every year ! There is NO way to tell what they will/won't consider as being more relevant.
We've seen them almost completely ignore conference tournaments, many times.

You are exactly right on that point. There is little to no consistency from year to year.
