Black Sails. What do you think about it?

I was browsing through Xfinity and saw Black Sails. It looks like the story line could be cool as it is the prequel to Treasure Island. However I watched one of the behind the scenes clips and it looked really cheesy.

Yeah I definitely got that vibe from the clips I saw. I may watch the pilot if I get bored one day.

Well the first 3 episodes of the first season aren't going to be the best of any show. That's called plot build up. Episodes 4-6 have been pretty damn good.

I quit watching. it was pretty boring and the characters were just uninteresting to me. im not big on pirates though.

Watched the first 2 eps. Got really intrigued with the storyline. I've been really busy but I'm Gonna catch up in the next few weeks though.

I have watched a couple of episodes and it seems to me like it is THAT close to being good... I think (and no I don't have the ghey) if they would add more character and plot development and not keep trying too hard to add gratuitous nudity and sex scenes, they might have something really, really good!

It's not Spartacus, but it is still a fairly entertaining show. The last couple of episodes like people have said have entertained now that the plot has been divulged. That big guy Captain Vane found at the end scares the shite out of me.
