Instead of talking of "GOATs", how about win totals/win%.

Do you foresee any team ever beating that total?

The cavs won 66, 61 for 127 over 08-09, 09-'10. Pretty impressive when you start comparing the talent level of those 2 teams

JVG has a pretty good line when talking about regular season basketball. It's something like: playoff basketball measures your talent, regular season basketball measures your discipline. I think he's right. LBJ's cavs teams weren't very talented, but they played super hard, every night. Like it was game 7 in November.

To answer the OP, no, I don't think any team will. There's just no reward for doing it. Once you lock up the #1 seed, health nowadays supersedes chasing ghosts of yesteryear

Charlotte didn't win their 141st game until their 5th year of existence. I'm sure there are worse stretches.

The Grizzlies' first five years were even worse, but their fourth season was the 98 lockout.

The Boston Celtics in the late 50s- the 60s are the "GOATs"

The 141 wins in 2 seasons is much more doable than winning 11 Championships in 13 seasons.

Probably not, but the NBA is overall more competitive today than it was then.

I don't see it. A team may get very close. A team may even tie it. But I just don't see that record being surpassed.
