We're in Oak Grove and would like to get a couple of king cakes today as a thank you to the staff we're working with here. So far the only place we've found king cake is Walmart, which is a no. Any recommendation on a good bakery/grocery store that has king cakes we can walk in and buy in this area? We can go as far as the Monroe area.

TIA

The wife says The Coffee Bean has the best one in town. Most people call em in, but you they will have some out for sale too. Like Otis said Vieux Carre may have one. If those two strike out go next door to Brookshires. It's not a bad King Cake.

We ended up at Brookshires. Neither Coffee Bean or Vieux Carre had ready to go king cakes. Never really considered the difference of availability in south LA vs north LA until now, wow.

Well, the most Mardi Gras action they get in the twin cities is the 13 float and 32 band Krewe of Janus Parade.
