Gotta go down to cocodrie to work on the camp anyway so I figure I will bring the bowfishing rig down there with me. Is bowfishing any good during the winter? Had reports of people seeing alot of reds in the shallows. Lows in the 40's friday night......

Good idea or bad?

bring all your duck gear because riding around in a boat in 40 degrees will freeze your nuts off if youre not dressed right.

I wonder if they are moving slow in the cold water.

Never did it in the winter. Let us know how it goes.

I have to get to my camp by boat, but the good thing is once your there, we dont have to get on plane the rest of the night. we start at the dock and idle around

I've been twice in the winter. Slaughtered them one time. 4 person limit in less than an hour. Other time got skunked.

It is very good in the winter but it maybe tough tomorrow night. The wind is blowing like a bus load of figs right now straight out of the North. Water will be low and dirty but if you do find them they will be stacked.

Mid-40s for both. Low tide and clear water for the slaughter. High tide and yoohoo for the skunk.
