What does it matter if he makes the all star game or not in the west? All that matters is he is an improvement over what we had.

I don't care about stats through 10 games. Let the season play out.

top 10 picks aren't really worth that much, even in great drafts

i understand this...

first of all, I'm a big Holiday fan....talked about wishing the Hornets had him last season.

but if Holiday were to stay first 8 game Holiday (not happening), top 10 pick and the cap space wins

Plenty of people would call him an All-Star by default.

i don't know if that's true, but if it is, it's stupid...what about the point guards on the other shitty teams?

Paul, Westbrook, Paul, Lawson, Lillard, Conley or Holiday?). There would have to be massive injuries for him to make it now..

you listed Paul twice...

...ignoring this small 10 game sample, last season, I would have taken Holiday over Lawson, Lillard, or Conley

the Holiday that we all know and love is absolutely an upgrade over Vasquez....and I liked Vasquez for the most part

More like +10 but still really good lol.

We're talking about similar, yet different things. You're looking at +/-, I was looking at efficiency ratings.

Rivers was a +60 in efficiency rating, the highest on the team. Rivers, Andersom, Morrow, and Evans were all at least +33. Aminu was the next best at +12.

Again, small sample size but nice to see a reversal for one night at least

well that begs the question of what we do with the cap space

we wouldn't have gotten evans

teams like Nola in the NBA have to trade for guys b/c will lead to us overpaying. with jrue, we got evans for a deal commensurate to his play, so we got 2 guys for market deals. that's going to be rare for the pellies

we also have a ceiling on what we can trade for, due to our market. we won't be a player in any deal similar to the one that led to the rockets getting harden, b/c we're not a big enough market for a superstar (almost assuredly).

cap space is only valuable if you are a market players want to go to. being at the cap is actually a big asset in the NBA, as is having salaries to trade in deals.

This far into the season, it looks like the Sixers played us like a fricking fiddle on that trade
