Went last weekend... New setup is awesome! It's open patio feel since they bought the Asians out (I think) or had to of.

The patio was nice, but I don't know what that means for them.

That place is dead literally every time I pass by and every time I go. I find it hard to believe they bought out the place where they expanded because.. Where the hell are they getting the money to do so?

I hope the expansion helps business for them, but I don't forsee it.
Shame because their drink specials are legit.

It was raining last weekend when I went! It looks like it will be raining again plus freezing this weekend. I'll make it a regular pit stop though as I walk from zz's to my house! I think they just wanted to have the whole block possibly to have more bands play instead of just on st pattys day.

Isn't that all going to be part of Uncle Earl's now?

Or is it two separate bars?

The owners I would guess. They were renting from the Golden Needle owners I think, it probably made more sense to just buy them out when they decided to move.

I'm assuming they are relying on the new developments in that area to boost business.

My information is dated (~20 years), but in my time at LSU it was common knowledge that the owner was a big-time bookie and the bar justified the cash income. Also why the drinks were so strong.
