Sweet Jesus, I order a fried shrimp fully dressed and what I get is essentially elongated English muffin/Egg McMuffin bread modestly stuffed with mealy fried shrimp. It isn't hard to fry shrimp and actually cook the corn meal. Also kudos on not having any internet presence or online menu so my wife can see what they have.

This place will go far...

They hung menus with coupons on doors around the neighborhood this past week. I'll stick with Reginellis.

From all o the threads about Roccos in the last few years I have concluded that the Rock really doesn't give a shite about being the titular head of a restaurant chain that doesn't serve even passably good food. The managers of each unit have that attitude to an even greater degree they are only thinking about sales revenue for their location compared to the other units. The quality of food produced by the kitchens doesn't even get a bit of consideration at any unit. Frying food is not f'ing rocket science and if you can't do it then you should be put on toilet cleaning duty.

What did it cost out of curiosity?

The only time I went to roccos was.next to campus, late 90s. I remmeber it being good, but I was also younger and dumber then. I thought the pasta in the union was good

See my earlier post, Rocco doesn't care anymore, at that original location it was his lifes blood of income and that of his employees to keep it good.

We got two poboys, one fried shrimp, one grilled chicken and a single order of fries. It was $18, which is what we customarily drop at Dempseys for two poboys but they are stuffed full of your chosen filling. The bread is really what killed me, it was bad, really bad. And I am not really a bread snob.

We wanted to give it a try to support a new Mid City BR business but with a product like that we will keep giving our business to Dempsey's.
