We make fun of bama playing a weak schedule and we can't even beat Ole Miss and a 3 loss UGA team. At least Bama dominates the games they are supposed to win
Well said. The worst part is Ole Miss was not even at full strength. We had an opportunity to take care of our own business and basically controlled our own destiny. Now, we can sit by and watch other teams make a run while we make a lower tier bowl, again.
I'm not saying fire Miles because I don't think there is anyone "available" right now that would be better. For those who say no one could duplicate his wins over his time at LSU I disagree. Given the talent we have, several could have done the same or better.
Last night just showed we are not a championship team. Intensity is not there and they just were not prepared.
I've been a Miles supporter and will continue to do so but am frustrated with us not reaching our potential. My loyalties are first to LSU and second to the coach.
If anyone doesn't get the difference between losing to a lesser team that is depleted and losing to a championship team in a hard fought battle, then they really don't understand the game of football. Most of us were ok with the Georgia loss because of how they were playing but the Ole Miss loss is another beast altogether.

Who here is willing to calculate the odds that the next LSU coach can duplicate Miles' 9-year run over the next 9 years?
Apples and oranges. The next LSU Head Coach will be walking into a completely different situation than Miles did.

Doesn't matter what the other teams did, LSU vs Ole Miss was in a vacuum. LSU controlled its own destiny and the coaches didn't gameplan correctly.

No. Not well said. The UGA team we played is not the same one we played, injuries have plagued their offense big time since our game

The thing that you can't defend is the horse arse clock management. Yes, the team could have played better and a lot of things are out of his control, but the one thing that cannot be defended by anyone is why you let the final 30 seconds melt off the clock. You know the coaches were yelling on the headsets to call timeout, but he just sat there like an arse thinking no, i'm gonna just let this be the last play of the game. Even worse maybe it just never occurred to him.
The clock management is his fault and it boils down to using your brain and making a decision that he can control. This has happened maybe 5 times since his been here, and once every year or two. This doesn't scare the shite out of anyone else? The fact that we have to lose a game like this every other year, and we just shrug it off as oh well it happens.
Don't think so
