I also don't see Unser going along with the plan. He'd be making mortal enemies of his landlord and only "family". Maybe if he only had a couple of months to live, but he seems to be doing pretty well.

Unser is doing it for the kids. He knows that getting away from the club is their only chance.

Sure, I think he'll continue to grudgingly go along with Tara on that basis, at least for a while, but I won't be surprised when he ultimately decides it's going too far and sides with the club.

Great episode. Entertaining and things moved along.

I was expecting a bigger surprise from Bobby Elvis but, like he said, him starting his own crew was a bit too obvious.

Did Bobby Elvis recruit the dumb kid from Reba or did I see things?

Yeah, Unser is helping Tara strictly because of Thomas and Abel.

After the beatdown he got and his "nazi boo boo", I think he woke up to the fact that those kids are in danger.

Seems like the boys are usually with Unser in the mornings, they just weren't THAT day. But what if they had been?

I wouldn't be surprised to get a Unser backstory that he tried to help Gemma get Jax and his late brother out of the life back in the day but they were thwarted by Clay.

And Nero and Clay both in County. That should be some good old fashioned dick measuring. I worry about Nero's safety in there. Clay wouldn't hesitate to have him taken out.

I worry that they are gonna force the villain with the DA lady. Other guy left early they killed them off now they are looking for a new "bad guy"

yea that was the clear angle to go - they need a "bad cop" this season to force the story line and act as the pressure cooker for some big decisions (tara, clay, nero, etc...). with him gone unexpectedly (the writers surely planned for him to stay the season) she is a natural and easy choice to slide into there even if it wasnt their ideal plan.

Funny how Pounder was the good cop until Logue had to leave the show. Now she's the one trying to cut corners.

She's starting to remind me of Forrest Whittaker on the Shield.

First episode this season that I've really enjoyed like old SOA. Bobby and his recruiting really caught me by surprise, had no idea that's where this was going. And they really, really need some new blood right now. The stuff with the cops was, at first, too over the top for me. And the,Oh, they're dirty, there's no APB out on us" wasn't sufficient enough to write that off. But the way they resolved that issue at the end was epic, and again caught me by surprise. And FINALLY they check Turic's freaking hotel room. That dragged out a little too long for me. I thought they resolved all the things that were keeping me from fully enjoying this season. Up until now I thought it was the weakest season, and I've been thinking, "Geez, I would have PAID to have an extra 30 minutes per episode in some of those early seasons.

Still not understanding how the club lawyer can represent Tara in divorce, much less advise her to consider taking a deal that busts the club.

lazy writing. Not only would that be a ethical conflict (limited ethics here i know), but the lawyer is signing her own death warrant by screwing over the club. she knows what the club is capable of. no way she would go along with this.

Why do you say that?

I just have a feeling that Bobby has something up his sleeve. I'm not sure he is 100% in Jax's corner.

I get that vibe to... maybe like he's going to try to eventually unseat Jax and take over the club.

I don't think that's Bobby's plan. It may come to the point where he changes his tune, and that's a huge possibility. But I don't think they're writing him as someone with a devious scheme. I think it will be a situation where he needs to stand up to Jax and his crew sides with him.

Seems like this season is dedicated to bringing the club together (even Clay), where are the past seasons have been about tearing them apart.

Lots of good things happening for the club, while a bunch of bad shite floats on the horizon.

in short, something real bad is about to happen

One season left after this one, so...

I'm guessing that the shite with the IRA gets wrapped up with the final episode of the season, bringing everyone together. Then next season we see it all go to hell with a chosen few left standing.
