I agree, for me, boardwalk empire is the best TV show ever made. Better than BB and better than the wire. This season has really stepped the game up. It is brilliant.

Much shorter, but nothing yet has rivaled Band of Brothers.

Yeah I'm loving it this season no Margaret and more Capone!

How awesome was it seeing Nelson doing bumps of coke with Capone!

I'll admit that my one complaint about the show is the "Oedipus" storyline with Jimmy in season 2. I just think it was kind of a stretch and not very original writing. Other than that I think it's flawless and is definitely one of my favorite shows of all time.

I love the show, just didn't like season 2. I found it slow and boring. I despised the Margaret story line and the dormatie incestual mother story line was not good.

Maybe terribleness was a bad description for season 2. It was my least favorite of the 4 seasons to date.

Booo, sad about Eddie.

Same here.
BTW, the actor is a native New Orleanian and has degrees from both Tulane and Loyola.
He sang the National Anthem at the 2012 BCSNC, one of the worst days of my life.

They had an interview with him on NOLA.com Monday, he became friends with the family of the guy his character is based on. The pen he used at the end to write the note belonged to the real life guy as well as the watch he wore

For real? That's awesome. I knew the show was based off some real stuff but I didn't know how loosely.

I really enjoyed the episode...

How many people had a story like Eddie...disgraced in their home country and reinvented themselves in America...

I wonder if Bottles Capone will play a bigger role..in real life Bottles had some very legitimate business..

The Van Alden story is always interesting to me...

anyone get the feeling that there is something going on with this guy that is messing with gillian? I have a feeling this guy is a law and not a piggly wiggly bigwig.

I got the same vibe. Pretty sure it showed him in an earlier episode behind a desk at Initech though.

frickin' A.

And I have a feeling he's a big scam artist getting ready to scam Gillian out of everything she has left.

Yeah he is up to something. At the same time, I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't.

Definitely a fantastic season thus far.

I really didn't enjoy last season nearly as much because Margaret scenes just suck the life out of the show. Hope they don't go back to that story.

I rewound a couple times to be sure, but she was in the previews portion at the end of the episode.

Is there an Official Boardwalk season long thread this season? Can someone link it?

Perhaps this time he will actually wind up going away for a while and have to worry about dropping the soap.

He just seems so....sketch. I trust no one on this damn show.

I imagine they will at some point though. I don't mind the occasional Margaret appearance for continuity sake at this point, but I hope like hell she stays in Brooklyn.

We typically do episode threads. I think me and maybe Glassman had started the first few this season. I was out of town Sunday and had a lot going on that I didn't even catch the episode until Monday afternoon.
