If so, is it even worth the shipping costs?

TIA

Yes.

That's a question you need to ask yourself.

Depends on the beer being shipped.

Think the general feedback is UPS/FedEx frowns on shipping alcohol, USPS technically you are breaking the law.

Best thing is to wrap and wrap and figure on spending some cash to mail it. Recent shipment via BXN are hit and miss on all the soldiers making it.

-Yes (illegal to go through usps though and i wouldn't tell fedex what you're shipping)

-Depends on the beer (cost and rarity). I wouldn't get a case of yuengling (sp?) shipped.

NICE!

They have some great things going on in the Chicago area. I'm a huge fan of spiteful and pipeworks.

I've done it a few times with some guys on here and reddit. Like others said it depends on the beers being shipped but for me it's definitely worth it. Never would of got my hands on Heady, Parabola, KBS, Pliny, Yeti, Resin, Abrasive, etc without it.

Others have already chimed in correctly....Use FedEx/UPS and IF asked about the contents, just say it is home made jelly or hot sauce. Wrap them VERY well with layers of bubble wrap and individually bag each bottle with a couple of ziplocks.

I recently shipped about 16 beers up north and the shipping was about $25.

I have wine bottle shippers(styrofoam) and just place the whole thing in a trash bag, then put it in the box. Works well.

I've never had anything break :knockonwood:.

Yeah, the shippers from UHaul work great.

I also like these shippers. They are very sturdy and don't take up a lot of room when they are broken down for storage. Spirited Shipper

I've never lost a soldier in a BXN or received any that were damaged. if you wrap correctly and ship in a normal box you are good
