We will probably have to replace both after this year. Any chance we see some guys like lacatoure or Herron move inside next year?

I thought Lacouture was already a DT.

Maybe I did....

And yes Lacouture is at DT and already getting talks of seeing big time playing time this year. So I expect him to step up as a starter next year with most likely the better of Bain/Gilmore

Quinton Thomas will have much to say about who starts next year if The Freak-Ego show takes it to the Big League. Which they probably will after kicking arse this year

Starters could be great, but DT depth remains a huge concern.

Here are guys on the line jockeying for position on offens and defense. If they are working to win spots they all get better.

There aren't many bad ball players on the roster, they're surrounded by top notch coaches, and play for LSU. They think they have a shot at a title they're all on full tilt.

Freak and ego are gonna blow the SEC up this year!

If he can demand double teaming, he will really free up the rest of the dline. Could result in a lot of negative yardage for opponents

Personally, I'd like to see them do their talking on the field...with actions! In front of a mike means nothing!

Johnson hasn't lived up to any hype yet. Haven't seen a freak of any kind.

Ego isn't right there with him. Now that they have their time to shine I hope they will. But I don't feel confident in both of them to step in and be the stud DT we are used to (Williams, Lavalais, Wroten, Nevis, Dorsey, Brockers, etc).

After them it's all unproven guys with high recruiting rankings. The talent is there but it's very young and 4 Top 10 teams on the schedule isn't gonna make it easy.

He recorded 30 tackles 10 TFL and 3 sacks while splitting time last year.

I would say he had a damn good true sophomore year and should improve on all those numbers since he will be starting every playing and playing the majority of snaps.

Funny because as a redshirt sophomore, and starter, Brockers had 10 TFL and 2 sacks. So Anthony, playing less snaps, and a year younger had the same numbers this past season. If Anthony hits your definition of "hype", he will have more accolades than Dorsey.

In fact, here's how the other guys you mentioned played in the second year at LSU:

Williams: Starter: 6.5 TFL 4 sacks
Lavalais: Starter: 5 TFL 1 sack
Wroten: JUCO Transfer: SR season: Starter: 10.5 TFL 6 sacks
Nevis: Reserve: 5.5 TFL 0 sacks
Dorsey: Reserve: 4 TFL 3 sacks

Johnson: Reserve: 10 TFL 3 sacks
