10 team, non PPR, 6pts per passing, standard everywhere else. This is the order I picked then I'll break it down by position:

1. (3) Doug Martin
2. Matt Forte
3. Victor Cruz
4. Marques Colston
5. Dwayne Bowe
6. Tom Brady
7. Matthew Stafford
8. Stevie Johnson
9. Antonio Gates
10. Emmanuel Sanders
11. Sidney Rice
12. St. Louis
13. Andre Brown
14. Sebastian Janikowski
15. Fred Jackson

QB: Brady, Stafford
WR: Cruz, Colston, Bowe, Rice, Stevie, Sanders
RB: Martin, Forte, Brown, Jackson
TE: Gates

I'm working on a trade with Stafford to hopefully upgrade my RB depth but keeping a solid back up quaterback. I know I'm super weak at TE but there are decent TEs that are FAs that I could plug and play but might look for another trade. What y'all think?

I wouldn't call having Gates being weak. Sure you don't have any depth but what team really has great TE depth. With Danario Alexander out for the season I think Gates is going to blow up

That's far from terrible. Even in a ten team league that's a solid roster.

Pretty good right there. Might try to use Cruz, Bowe or Colston to upgrade at RB, then use Stevie J as your third WR, other than that I like the roster

I did screw up by picking Stafford so early but time ran out and he was in my list for picks for later. I think I'll be able to make it into a positives through trades though. I definitely wouldn't say terrible though.

Keep in mind you are one (very likely) Forte injury or a sophomore slump for Martin away from having a shitty team. Leverage your great WR corps and QB stable into another 2nd round RB.

* EDIT - stupid because I ddnt read OP correctly

That puts you with 3 good RBs, 2 great WRs, a decent WR3 in Stevie J and Stafford will produce this year with a better run / screen game possible with Bush.

All of this assumes you have a flex spot and dont have to start 3 WRs and 2 RBs only

If it's 6 points per passing TD I'm not trading Brady and Bowe for Gore, imo.

Pretty insane that Brady lasted until the 6th round in a 6pt passing TD league...that doesn't happen too often..

I was very lucky Brady lasted until then. I think I can make the plauoffs with this team but winning it all will take some luck and a very solid pick up or two. My best bet might to be trade stafford for another startable QB plus an upgrade at RB depth, then trade that QB I got for another servicable TE. Gates has been reported as trimmed down a bunch so I'm hoping he can revert back to his old form. Hopefully I get lucky.

What is the consensus on Martin? I think he has a good year based on the fact that the Bucs will count on his production to open up the passing game but there is always the chance of a sophmore slump. Really hope he pans out, I always get the players one year after their best year and they don't do near as good. Thanks for all the advice.

For a 10 team league, I'd give you a C-

Not sold on Martin as a Top 5 pick either

I'd look in to trading Brady and keeping Stafford if you believe you can get a lot more in return for Brady. I honestly don't see Brady outscoring him by a whole lot, if at all. Sure it's Brady, but I think Stafford jumps back up this year as long as his receivers don't get tackled inside the 5 yard line 23 times again (including 5 times at the 1 for Calvin). Reggie out of the backfield will also draw more defensive attention at the line of scrimmage, possibly opening up the middle of the field.

That team looks great IMO. Good job. Like you say, TE is your weakest position, but it's also one of the easiest weaknesses to fix. Be on the lookout for a TE on the waiver wire. And you might want to upgrade your depth at RB.

Definitely looks like a playoff-bound team.
