I must admit the low budget film does do a lot with nothing. It is about 2 documentary filmmakers who are determined to expose a cultleader, played by Brit Marling, as a fraud.

I found myself asking the same question the entire way: could the cult leader possibly be telling the truth?

And I'm still wondering

Anyone else see this thing? What did you think? I hear they are planning a possible trilogy.

Was good. Nice twist ending. I still think she was full of it...

I thought it was great. Good feel, good performances, lots of fun.

I think she was full of it and was actually the little girl's mother. That pretty much explains everything in the movie except her level of craziness.

Yes, that would explain a lot. Good thinking on your part.

Brit Marling also co-wrote the script to "Sound of My Voice". She also starred in and co-wrote "Another Earth" (2011).

I liked "Another Earth" a little more because of all the things going on in the background and the idea of two worlds and a possible exact replica of yourself on the other planet, but "Sound of My Voice" was very good, especially considering the budget. It kept me interested the entire time. Of course not a big fan of the throw up and worm scenes, but I guess that was all part of the allure.

The ending is open to many interpretations.
