No huge surprises: Both say Iggy and Copeland. Reid says Webster and Smith says Budinger as their thirds.

Is Iggy going to get Max money? What is his value in the current market? Not a lot of options out there.

Well, he just opted out of a final year at Denver that would have paid about 16mm next season. Sooooo....

Doesn't necessarily mean he'll ask for that per year. He'll just want a longer guaranteed deal.

From what I understand, he may take less money to re-unite with Jrue Holiday in N.O.

I just made that last sentence up.

I think he will ask for something around 11 million a year

Iggy is nowhere near a max money type guy to me. He's almost 30, isn't a good shooter, isn't a good driver, and plays good defense. Why do so many people act like he's the missing link?

Why would he take 11 when he just walked away from 16? Just the length of the contract? And do we want to tie ourselves to a long term contract?

And do we have any realistic chance of signing him without getting rid of some combination of Lopez, Anderson and Vazquez?

This might be the most rambling sentence in world history. Horrendous writing.

i don't know how either of them are employed as beat writers for the team. if the TP would get better basketball writers and better coverage -- you know, guys who could actually have a little insight and a few sources here and there -- it may just stir a little extra interest in the team.

I 1000% agree with this. Just a waste of that much money. I don't think we want to get stuck under a long term big money contract with a declining SF.

Webster and Budinger are more realistic than Iggy who will want more money because this will be his last big contract.

Even as someone who rambles, even in published writing, I find this hilarious.
